I’m writing book # 8 in the Coronado Series and as I’m building the story and working on the characters WHY – I reflect back on where it all started.
Mark and Birdie…They’re in my head today as much as they were four years ago when their story began to form and float around in my head like little pieces of a quilt.
Well, I made them a whole damn blanket, and I can’t seem to quit adding pieces, and I move forward. Probably never will…and we’ll still be together thirty years from now, and I’ll be writing about Maddy and her kids.
Anyway…I decided to put a little visual together of where we started and the place they’ve arrived. They’ve been married for three years (Wedding 1/1/2015), and their daughter Madeline is two and half years old, and a pistol (did we expect anything different) and their son Ben was just born (1/1/2018). They are as happier than they’ve ever been and not because life has been easy or without conflict, but because they’ve found the perfect person to go through the storm with. Birdie still sings as horribly as ever and Mark still doesn’t mind it, because he gets to be the boss of the bedroom.
I’m not sure where these two are headed next, but it will undoubtedly be together…
Cheers to Mark and Birdie – thank you for invading my head so that I could write your story.
